Meet Jeff Godby, Founder of Superior Plumbing & Gas in Columbia, SC

Jeff Godby, master plumber and gas fitter, aims to be the most professional and trusted plumber in Columbia, SC and to run the best plumbing company in the Midlands. After graduating from the Virginia Military Institute with honors, Jeff immediately entered the plumbing profession as a novice plumber with Ferguson Enterprises. He quickly rose through the ranks at Ferguson and soon realized that he had found his life’s passion. Jeff continued his education and earned his master plumbing and gas credentials. He opened Superior Plumbing & Gas in 2001, drawing upon the discipline and professionalism he learned at VMI and Ferguson Enterprises to establish a successful company. He also credits his Eagle Scout training and hiking the 2160-mile Appalachian Trail with teaching him the perseverance necessary to be a small business owner and master plumber.

Living in Columbia, SC: Family and Community Service

Jeff loves working throughout the greater Columbia, SC area as a plumber and gas fitter, getting involved with his community, and spending time with his family. He has two elementary age boys and he actively participates in their neighborhood, their school, and at Shandon United Methodist Church. Jeff is a member of the Home Builders Association and an executive board member of the Remodelers Council. In his spare time, Jeff volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America. Superior Plumbing & Gas generously donates labor and materials to Home Works, a non-profit Christian organization that provides repairs to homeowners in need.
